Title: SPYDER ROOF SUPPORTS
Post by: angelom on May 23, 2014, 05:20:21 AM
Hi Guys

Wonder if anyone has advice for me. I have a 82 Spyder that I'm restoring and today I found that the brace support above the door windows look like they have snapped off under the rubber mouldings.

Are they supposed to bolted / welded / or something else.?

Hi

As far as I know all the S2 Spyders are welded.

Yes, they are welded.
That looks like a brave restoration!
Hope it goes smoothly for you.

Sadly I scrapped a Spyder a few months ago and you could have had the piece to make that good. I did keep the rubber covers, so if you are stuck for it, let me know.

Welded.

They look like they might have been cut - someone going for the S1 look perhaps?

Would make sealing the top of the door interesting to say nothing of the chassis's rigidity.

Hi Peter

Well the rubber is quite tattered, and it may be handy to have a set of side supports if in tact, so what would you like for them?  PM me if you like
