Though I can't help feeling that had the Beta been a manual box as opposed to an auto...it wouldn't have had quite so many problems! Quite glad as i remember first time round cringing when clarkson smashed the front grill in to loose some weight off the car. It might of faired better if the lighter Hammond had driven it.. .. I think his Opel Kadett was restored by the team on Practical Classic Mag.
