Our Application for this years show has been successful  ;D
We have been displaying Betas at the NEC since 2005, and over the years managed to show some fantastic cars.

We are always looking out for cars to use for the show, if you would like to considered please drop John B a email

Also if your interested in helping to man the stand for any of the days please let me know.

There is a discount available for club members see:

We will be in hall 8, and as you can see we will be in good company next to the Lancia Motor Club and the Fiat 131 club opposite. Sadly our good friends the Lancia Monte Carlo Consortium, will not be attending :'( I think their reputation has finally caught up with them ?

Hi everyone
We're looking for some more cars for the show. Let me know if you would be free to bring your car to the NEC Birmingham and make your car a star.

We've been very fortunate over the years to be able to show off some lovely Betas. I try and get new cars every year. After some initial encouragement the owners really enjoy the experience of showing off their cars to an appreciative audience.

Please contact me on 07712 787703. I will also be at the Beta Meeta next weekend.

Best wishes
John

John

I have been nudged by the Montecarlo Mafia that you are looking for a Montecarlo or 2 for the stand? As I have just had some paint applied my some what unusual Volumetrico Montecarlo is unusually shiny and I can get the time off work if you are interested in having my car at the show?

Let me know if that helps you?

Thanks

Eric

Tony and team

Where are you staying whilst at the NEC? I currently have a booking in the Jacobean Hotel with various members of the Monte Consortium in the nearby Quality Hotel for a Friday night social as we could not find anything available close to the NEC. I am going to have a logistical problem with the car on the stand getting to and from the hotel each day so I am keen to know if anyone is staying nearby and could give me a lift?

PS when will I get the tickets to the show/parking and do you need my address?

Thanks

Eric

Hi chaps
I'm also booked in at the Quality Hotel, managed to get a room on hotels.com last week
I'm there for the Thursday,Friday and Saturday night.

There was me thinking I was going to have a nice quiet weekend Eric  :)

I'll have a spare seat or or 3 if you can call the rears seats in the Corrado seats.
Might be worth emailing John regarding the tickets, I know John will be working on Thursday so I'll be there sorting out our set-up.

Tony & John

An out standing effort and extraordinary bravery for Tony to go out with the Monte crowd after the last time. Maybe that was why you could not find your car all weekend??

Cheers

Eric
PS perhaps Tony and I should skip the romantic dinner next time!

Sorry for the late reply chaps, been on of those weeks  ???

Well looked like our 10th NEC was a great success  :D

I'd like to thank first of all John Bower who secured our display again, and all his help over the whole weekend.
Also Like to thank   Marcus and Connie for bringing their beautiful S2 FL Coupe, Nigel for his gorgeous early S1 1800 Coupe and Eric for bringing his rather rapid Monte.
Sadly Brian was unable to attend in his white HPE, broke down on route with a blown head gasket  :( and was very disappointed to miss the show  :(

Big thanks also to everyone who spared their time to help out on the stand, this was very much appreciated, and meant we all had time to look round the show  :)
As always we were next to the Lancia Motor Club, and opposite to the Fiat 131 club (first year for them), who were next to the Fiat Motor Club, so Italian's were together :)

We met some very interesting people over the 3 days, lots of owners of Beta's who didn't know about us  :) and we managed to put more faces to names.
The photo wall was a great central talking point, and fetched lots of nice comments.

Unfortunately the Monte Consortium didn't have a stand this year, but they did come up for the Friday and Saturday night, and as Pete says we had a very entertaining meal on the Saturday in Coventry (you missed a good night Stuart)  ;)

For me the most memorable meal of the weekend was the intimate meal with Eric  ;D we tuned up in his packed hotel restaurant, asked for a table for two  ;D
There was one small table in the corner left, we did get some funny comments from other dinners, thinking we were a couple  :D :D :D
Eric made sure they know we were car club mates and not staying in the same hotel, what finished the evening off was I didn't fancy a desert, when the waitress bought out Eric's and put it in the middle of the table with two spoons and every one on the next table started to smerk  :D ;D ;)

To say we left for the bar pretty sharpish was a understatement!!
A lot of us stayed in the quality hotel, very clean, nice size room, helpful staff for £33 per night bargin! and only 15 minuets to the NEC, even quicker when I could remember the short cut :)
