Motoring journalist Russ Smith is trying to organise a photo shoot/magazine feature comparing the Lancia Beta HPE with the BMW 2002 Touring. The old rivalry will make a great and unusual feature. If you have an HPE you'd like to see featured (the earlier to the better to match the Bimmer's 1970s production period) then please contact Russ. I tried to put him in contact with Simon Hilton who has a fantastic HPE based in Cumbria, but Russ needs to base the article nearer the South East where all the nice BMW 2002 seem to be located. And sadly my HPE is off the road for its restoration. Russ is very pro-Beta and I have worked with him on 2x Beta press articles in 2008/2009 which come up in magazines sold on eBay!
