Title: Carrillo Lamps
Post by: jaybee on May 14, 2012, 06:29:44 PM
Hi All,
Trust this note finds you all well.
Just a quick question. I have found a place in Italy that has a full set of brand new Carillo lamps for a VX coupe. My question / concern is that coming from Italy, they may be suitable for LHD cars only.
Does anyone know whether one alters the beam direction from inside the lamp fittings themselves (from under the bonnet) or whether the lamps are handed and the lense design controls direction.
Many thanks
JB

I don't think these will be usable in the UK, you can put the stickers on to alter the beam direction but they peel off after a short while.

I may be wrong but when I bought a couple of integrales in from Germany & Italy many moons ago they needed swapping.  Things may have changed but if they are OEM items then I don't think they can be used.

Standard units from the period are handed
and will have a small arrow on the glass to
denote LH or RH beam direction.

Plus I think that lhd lights are now an mot fail even with yellow tint or stuck on beam deflectors.

Cheers
