Title: Ingition advance curves Post by: HFStuart on May 07, 2012, 04:35:08 PM Does anyone have the ignition curve for a 2.0 on electronic ignition? Are they the same as the points ones? Also does anyone have any information on the effect of the vacuum advance control specifcally how many degrees can it change the advance by?

Does anyone know if injected models were equipped with a vacuum advancer? My early i.e. model has only an innertial mechanism, however the distributor (marelli) has plugged opening for a vacuum one. From the above diagrams - it seems that 2.0 engines has only innertial advancers, vacuum advancers were placed only in 1.3 and 1.6 units and for these the advance is of 12deg.

NB I sold some Alfa alloys on eBay yesterday - the buyer turned out to be David from St.Albans who wanted to put them on the Delta Evo hubs he's putting on his Monte. NB I sold some Alfa alloys on eBay yesterday - the buyer turned out to be David from St.Albans who wanted to put them on the Delta Evo hubs he's putting on his Monte. He said they're temporary while he looks for 5 stud Compomotive FHs - good luck to him with that one! I can see how he would do the rear hubs easily as the Delta centres just press into the OE Bearings, but the fronts are harder however I believe PIX X19 did this for his V6 X19 conversions with custom hub centres. David from St Albans just might be David Beale in which case it will be done as he has managed most things like a FI VX Monte back in the 80s. 4 bolts holes all round is fine with me. PS you can get those nasty bolt on adaptor/ spacer converters but I would not touch them with a barge poll when you consider the need to ensure correct centring, 9 bolts a wheel and the extra un-sprung weight.
