Title: An invite to the Scottish Italian Car and Bike Day 2012 | 12th August
Post by: paulqv on July 19, 2012, 07:48:50 PM
Hi all,

I hope the moderators don't mind me posting this to introduce myself and give some more information in addition to the link given in another thread.

In our 4th year now, the Scottish Italian Car and Bike Day '11 attracted over 350 cars and 1800 visitors last year, and we are hoping to make it an even bigger event this year. Its the premier multi-club event of the year, very relaxed and informal with no amplification or commentary. Hopetoun House, one of the UK's grandest stately homes, makes a great setting too. Sadly it does not belong to me! The web site is:
‪http://www.hopetoun.co.uk/ (http://www.hopetoun.co.uk/)

We would like to have as many Lancias as possible. The event is very club focussed. We are more than happy for clubs to have club stands and to canvass for more members of those attending. The event thrives on the diversity of attendees, from a Vespa to a Club Racer Ducatti, or a Fiat Panda to a Ferrari Enzo. Everyone is welcome and as special as the next.

It is run for fun and charity and the organisers make nothing from it.

If you need any more information, please get in touch or have a look on our website ‪http://www.italiancarandbikeday.co.uk/ (http://www.italiancarandbikeday.co.uk/) or facebook page ‪http://www.facebook.com/ItalianCarandBikeDay (http://www.facebook.com/ItalianCarandBikeDay)

It is £5 per car to exhibit, including all occupants.

Many thanks,
Paul

hello all once again,

Just to let you know of a great competition we are now running in association with a top scottish detailer giving you the opportunity to win a free mini detail and paint correction for your car on the day of the event.

COMPETITION: Our friend Richard over RGK Detailing http://www.rgkdetailing.com/ (http://www.rgkdetailing.com/) has a great prize for one lucky owner of an Italian Car/Bike. As part of his demonstrations at the event, the winner of the competition will receive a mini detail + have any paint defects removed from their vehicle. To qualify for the competition you need to have your vehicle at the event from 10am-3pm.

To enter, just reply to the post on our facebook page with your make and model of car/bike – easy!

Less than 24hrs to go now and the weather is looking good! Just time to show you a great write up we received yesterday in The Scotsman newspaper (see here http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/motoring/top-stories/rare-italian-stallions-are-rounded-up-for-a-day-at-hopetoun-house-1-2461079 (http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/motoring/top-stories/rare-italian-stallions-are-rounded-up-for-a-day-at-hopetoun-house-1-2461079)).

Once again, there is no need to register simply turn up before 10am if you would like to exhibit your car in front of the house for all to see!
