Just to say this was one of the most fun car related days out I've ever had.

Lots of people characterised by a love of cars and not taking anything seriously. All sorts of kit on show from ratted out sheds to some spectacular cherished cars.

Cars running up the hill ranged from a bike engined spaceframe imp (unbelievably fast off the line) to a huge yank truck with an Iveco diesel. In between all sorts of things you've never normally see driven in anger, or in some cases at all. A 400bhp Viva van, Mk2 Cortina Estate drag car bog standard looking Volvo 360 and some pretty impressive driving too.

Far, far better than I was expecting. I'm sure Tony will be along soon with a link to some of his pics but if they do this next year go. If you like cars and you're not a Major St.John-Smith (retired) type you'll enjoy it.

Stuart

PS The spider managed the 300 mile round trip with the only problems being a loose rear silencer  - easily fixed at the show - and the airspeed indicators (aka wing mirrors) that folded flat against the doors above 85.

Great day out, yet again. Think it's probably improved since the previous years at Sparkford. Everything seemed very relaxed and the organisation of the whole event was excellent. Recommended!
Thanks to Stuart for a part i'm after, (suprising what room there is in a boot of a spyder!) and Tony for getting us the parking area. How I missed you throughout the whole day i'm unsure ???
Somebody did sneak a Corrado into the parking area, but I never saw them to get it moved!!
Combination of pics from me and my dad from the day... http://www.flickr.com/photos/lanciamad/sets/72157627490133794/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lanciamad/sets/72157627490133794/)
I did manage to go up the hill on 3 runs during the morning. First time i'd been up prescott hill and also any competitive hill for me; it was certainly an experience.
