Best wishes go to Scott Wallis and Ben Perrins
who are about to embark on a 3000 mile round trip to Rome/Italy leaving this Friday
in a 1979 Spider

see: http://www.castaldini.co.uk/monkeyrun/2010/

Scotts aka(thirdbrother3) water pump failed 2 days ago, so ordered one from Mark
then !! noticed Mark only posts at weekends (the day after they leave)  Angry

Spoke with Mark, and It will be on it's way tommorrow Smiley

Good luck Scott/Ben

Looks like a decent run for a Beta but if its in fine fettle there'll be no worries.  Good luck guys - just make sure the cooling fan works!

very late reply to this post!

have had an awesome few years with the spider. it did make it to Rome and back... just

http://scottwallis.com/monkeyrun/2010_run.html

the following year was better prepared for a shorter run but proved we were a contender in the event.

http://scottwallis.com/monkeyrun/2011_run.html

and this year was a blast through France down to Monaco and back up via the nurburgring

http://scottwallis.com/monkeyrun/2012_run.html

We came second overall in the event, got a new top speed (sat nav measured) of 108 mph (legally on toll road), but as the Monkey run has come to an end we traded the car in on our return.

Sad to see it go, its been a real blast, but we never really got to use it in between our yearly run.

Thanks to everyone on here for the invaluable information gleaned over the last three years.

i do now have quite a few spares in the shed that i shall be putting up for sale shortly in the classifieds.
