Hi everyone

I joined a while ago, but have only now got round to looking at the site. Looks like a handy source of info  Smiley

I'm in Switzerland and have owned a one owner (female hairdresser) Spider 2000 since 1994. It's done about 53,000 km.

I've added some pics to the gallery, but to give you an idea here's one:

I awakened my Spider yesterday for the first time in 18 months and had a little drive. Oozes character!    Cool

I look forward to learning more about keeping my car running happily.

Here's something that you may not know. There is a 1:43 scale model of the Spider. Should be available from good model shops.

Manufacturer's site:

Edit to add:

My dad bought a new yellow(Giallo Fly?) Beta 1800 Berlina back in the seventies. It was far more advanced than the Mk 10 4.2 litre Jaguar it replaced. But, despite additional cavity wax injection from new by the dealer, the front wings had rusted through after 18 months. After much debate, these were replaced by the dealer. But that didn't stop the car getting old before its time due to the dreaded tin-worm. He replaced it with a Scirocco Mk II after being tempted by a Gamma Coupé but not letting his heart rule his head...
